About Lalitha:

Hi, I’m a youth services & community college librarian living in Southern California with my husband and our two boys. I decided to start a blog because I wanted to keep track of the various materials I’m reading, as well as contribute to ongoing dialogue about multicultural literature for children and young adults. I hope to focus on discussing books, but there may be some stuff in here related to library stuff (because, hey, I’m a librarian).

I am a strong advocate of professional development, and try to stay active in ALA by serving on committees such as YALSA’s Quick Picks for Reluctant Young Adult Readers and ALA Feminist Task Force’s Amelia Bloomer Project. I also review middle grade and young adult books, as well as apps for School Library Journal.

In my spare time, I love spending time with family, reading, listening to live indie music (Coachella!), playing board games, and meeting new people. I can be reached at owleeta at gmail dot com.
